Visconti Checkmate Fountain Pen (Limited Edition)

Checkmate is not only a statement piece, it is also an immersive experience. The pen itself serves as an outstanding miniature chessboard, crafted in a unique, three-dimensional cylindrical design that reimagines the traditional 8x8 chess grid with 64 brown and ivory colored squares encircling the length of the pen. A special magnetic closure keeps the chessboard pattern perfectly aligned.

Magnetic pieces bring the game to life, letting you transform any setting into a creative battlefield where strategy unfolds with each move. This unique feature provides endless opportunities for strategic play and expression, designed for proud players and chess enthusiasts.

The Checkmate collection is available as a fountain pen featuring a double reservoir power filler and an 18kt gold nib or rollerball, boasting a harmonious blend of artistry and functionality limited to only 88 pieces worldwide (a number that echoes the traditional 8x8 chess grid).

The pen’s presentation box is more than an elegant accessory—it’s also essential to the game itself. Designed to resemble a chessboard in refined ivory and brown-colored wood, it features specially crafted compartments for the chess pieces and an innovative stand that allows the pen to rotate for a comfortable, face-to-face match. Inside, you will find a complete set of 32 miniature chess pieces in light silver and dark bronze—pawns, bishops, knights, rooks, a Queen, and a King, awaiting your command to bring your chess game to life.
